According to Fast Technology on January 15, BYD and Southeast Asian travel service company Grab
announced a cooperation agreement to promote the use of electric vehicles in Southeast Asia.
The cooperation plan provides 50,000 BYD electric vehicles to Grab drivers to increase users'
opportunities to enjoy green travel.
The cooperation not only includes providing BYD cars at competitive prices, but also covers
extended battery warranty services to promote the electrification of the transportation industry in
the region.
Drivers can choose to lease electric vehicles or obtain financing support through Grab's car ownership
plan.
In countries such as Singapore and Thailand, Grab users can also choose the "Eco-friendly Travel"
option to get priority access to new energy vehicle services at no additional charge.
The cooperation covers countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and
Vietnam, and the models involved include Denza D9, ATTO 3 (i.e. Yuan PLUS), Seal and BYD M6.
This move is expected to reduce the initial cost of electric vehicles and promote the popularization of
electric vehicles in Southeast Asia.
